HOW TO LOOK AFTER YOUR JEWELLERY
Sourced from all over the world, and created using the finest gemstones and precious pure silver, your Catfixe jewellery requires a little care and attention to keep it looking its best.
Dust, pollution and daily wear all conspire to cloud the brilliance of a gemstone and dull the surface of precious metals. As with all fine things in life, you should take care to protect your jewellery and always store it in a fabric lined jewellery box, taking care not to drop, bash or scratch.
ALWAYS TRY TO…
Apply lotion, cosmetics, hairspray or perfume before putting on your jewellery.
After removal of jewellery, wipe each piece with a clean soft cloth to remove oils and perspiration.
Store in a fabric-linen box, separately or individually-wrapped in tissue to prevent scratches.
WHAT NEVER TO DO
Never wear jewellery when doing physical work such as housekeeping, gardening or exercise.
Never expose jewellery to household cleaning products such as bleach & chlorine.
Follow the instructions appearing on the label or box. Clean in a secure location, not the rim of a sink, where a piece may slip down the drain.
Use only a soft brush, never sharp or hard objects, to remove dirt or particles.
Clean your jewellery often. Lotions, soaps and skin oils alter the optical properties of Semi- Precious stones, causing them to look dull.
Always remove your jewellery when applying scent, lotions and potions, or even better, always put your jewellery on last when getting dressed. Please note that chlorine is especially damaging to jewellery.
Ensure that you rinse off any chemicals that come into contact with your jewellery straight away to avoid build up which can make cleaning difficult.
Avoid storing your Catfixe jewellery next to costume jewellery or watches with leather straps.
Store jewellery separately so that pieces do not tangle, rub or scratch against each other.
